Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being given 10/10 points in an Olympic performance. Bela Karolyi later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci when she was just seven years old. The year 1969 was the first time she took part at the Romanian Junior Championships where she placed 13th. She won in 1970. At her first international event in 1972 at a pre-Olympic Junior competition for communist-bloc nations she took home three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974 she became an the all-around junior champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals at her senior debut international competition, held in 1975. It was the first time she participated as a senior. The year was 1976 when she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and was the first female in history to dismount the parallel bars using backwards double salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Carol Wayne's journey to the world of entertainment began when she was a teenager. Together with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a part of the world of entertainment during her teenage years. She began her professional career by performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. The shows were ice skating performances that were performed to music from the stage.
