I worked for months, working 12- hour days cleaning floors and tear down wallpaper one baby strapped to my back while the other babies were crawling in the playpen. Ha! No matter what, our house had already been equipped. There was a spot at the local markets in which I sold my pieces. I could outgrow the market because I had numerous pieces I was able to use. At home, I started hosting open houses in which more than 1000 people could come in to purchase anything they wanted from the first floor over the course of a weekend. Growing Days was founded in my home. The business wasn't just flourishing, but I was also growing our family of four. As a young mom, I found the right equilibrium to start my own company and become a great mother. Growing Days was the obvious choice. Nora came into our lives in 2013 to be our fourth baby. My business was going well however I needed a break. I took a pause from making vintage furniture, and also slowed my pace and stayed at home to raise the children. This was just the thing I needed. After a while. Numerous people reached me seeking advice regarding home improvements and decor. The majority of them had attended my house during the open houses for furniture. Once I had a few months, I took on clients at my pace. Soon I had multiple accounts, as well as a house remodeling business. If you had predicted that this venture of mine could become the basis of a television show that airs on the DIY Network I probably would have been astonished. When I look at it, it has made me laugh.
